- Question: How much weight can I tow with a RedTrailer?
- Answer: The total amount of weight you can tow depends not only on the trailer but the tow vehicle and the installed trailer hitch. Although RedTrailers are some of the most durable trailers on the market today, it is advisable to check your vehicle owners manual for the recommended maximum trailer load and compare it with the rating of your trailer hitch.
- Question: Storage space is limited for me. How much space does a RedTrailer take?
- Answer: RedTrailer Folding Trailers are easy to store. When not in use, they fold up and can be stored in an area as small as 2' x 5.2' (depending on specific trailer model). For more information, please refer to these detailed storage instructions.
- Question: How is the bed of the trailer attached to the frame rails? Are there holes in the rails for bolts or screws?
- Answer: Yes. RedTrailer Folding Trailer Kits have pre-drilled holes on the top of the frame rails to attach flooring material. For complete details, please refer to the trailer assembly instructions.
- Question: Will the Folding Trailer still fold with flooring material attached?
- Answer: Yes. Many of our customers use 3/4" plywood for flooring material (which obviously needs to be cut in order for the trailer to fold properly), but the trailer will still fold even with the flooring material attached.
- Question: I'd like to save shipping charges by picking up my trailer kit, but I'm not sure if it will fit in my vehicle. How big are the boxes that it comes in?
- Answer: The box dimensions and weights are listed below. You might also consider having us assemble the trailer for you (for an additional charge), so that you can simply tow it home.

- Question: I'm sure I've seen these trailers somewhere else, selling for $50 less. Why?
- Answer: Without a doubt, the other trailers you saw were not genuine RedTrailers, and they probably had an inferior design. Please read this explanation of why ours are a better value.
- Question: How do I register my RedTrailer?
- Answer: When you receive your RedTrailer Kit, the Manufacturer's Certificate of Origin will be included in a brown envelope, taped inside the section of the box marked "OFFICIAL DOCUMENT ENCLOSED." Registration procedures for kit trailers vary widely, because they are regulated by state and local governments (a few states do not require registration at all), so please be sure to check with your local authorities. Some states require a notarized signature on the Manufacturer's Certificate of Origin. If this is the case in your state, simply mail the certificate to RedTrailers.com, Inc., P.O. Box 377, Quakertown, PA 18951. We'll get it notarized and return it to you as soon as possible.
- Question: I lost the Manufacturer's Certificate of Origin that came with my trailer. Can you send me a replacement?
- Answer: Yes, but there is a US$100.00 fee for issuing another certificate. We'll need to know the model number of your trailer, and its 17-digit serial number.
- Question: Are there any local dealerships where I can purchase RedTrailer products?
